Currently, Mozi requires both friends to have each other's contact (mobile number) saved. If one person has a contact saved but the other doesn't, there's no match. If someone has multiple numbers and only one is saved, but the other is used for Mozi, there's also no match.
Suggestion to have a privacy setting under visibility to be either:
  1. Must have each other's contacts saved (lowest visibility, current implementation)
  2. Must have my contact saved only (higher visibility, similar to WhatsApp, Signal, etc.)
